Hello! I'm Bo-Eun Choi :) I'm an M.S. student majoring in astronomy at Sejong University, Korea.
I love all the field of astronomy, but I especially have more interests in the late evolutionary stage of stars. Recently, I have been studying neutral matters in young planetary nebulae to investigate their mass-loss history in the previous AGB stage. Symbiotic stars, the interacting white dwarf-giant binaries, are also one of my research subjects. I have been carrying out spectroscopic observations of those objects to investigate the mass-loss history using Raman-scattering processes and line formation study of Raman-scatterd feature using a Monte Carlo radiative transfer code. These days, I am studying all types of supernovae and their progenitors, the interaction between stellar explosions and the ISM, binary stellar systems including compact objects, and stellar nucleosynthesis.
